The “s” word

Posted by Trisha on October 22nd, 2008

Oh, no! We are barely halfway through October and I’ve seen the first *ahem* snow of the season. I was so totally not prepared for that. I knew there was snow last night in the higher elevations around here, but that’s different. It wasn’t here. It was there. There is not here. Well, it is now! We saw snow on the way home from dropping the van off at the shop. Oh, my. DH is happy about it, of course. He just shared with me that the average first snowfall in Rochester is Oct. 24th, so I guess it’s time. Bbbbrrrrrrr. I just want spring/summer/fall back!

Spring has sprung!

Posted by Trisha on April 21st, 2008

Yeah, it’s been spring officially for awhile. With all this warm weather lately, it’s almost as if we’ve skipped spring altogether and went straight for summer. Anyway, I noticed on my way in from the bus this morning that we have our firt tulip! I love tulips. They are my second favorite flower, behind daisies. It’s in a bit of a precarious place, appearing to be intertwined with the rose bush that’s planted out front. I took a couple of pics to share.

Holy wind tunnel, Batman!

Posted by Trisha on November 30th, 2007

Holy cow! I seriously thought my van was going to be blown off the road this afternoon! And while I was sitting in the van waiting for the twins to leave school, I felt like I was on a ship. Maybe I should have had a bag of salt (or two bags) in the trunk. It was scary at times driving on the interstate with all the cars weeble-wobbling on the road. Geesh!
