But after analyzing it a bit further in my Children's Literature class this fall, there really is one. It's just a little boy who wants to escape his world where parents rule for an imaginary one in which he can make the rules. It's more of a "grass is greener" type story (at least the book is, anyway) where the little boy doesn't really find that his imaginary world is any better than his real one. But I say all this with the realization that I have yet to see the movie. I do intend to see it eventually, though. Well, at first, I thought the book didn’t really have a plot.
