GO BOILERS! BEAT THE IRISH!

Posted by Trisha on September 27, 2008 in NCAA, Purdue, Sports

I haven’t done much on my blog in awhile. Part of it is that I’m just so busy with school and work and home that I don’t have time. Part of it is that I have to keep a blog for one of my classes, so the time I would normally have to blog here [...]

March Madness

Posted by Trisha on March 20, 2008 in Fantasy Sports, NCAA, Purdue, Sports

Ah, the madness of March. The NCAA basketball tourney starts today, in just a few minutes. I’m not a huge basketball fan. I do NOT like NBA basketball, but I can tollerate college. However, I LOVE the tourney. Even before I was filling out brackets I loved the tourney. Last year, i didn’t fare so [...]

And Purdue wins again

Posted by Trisha on September 29, 2007 in NCAA, Purdue, Sports

We start the season 5-0 after beating Notre Dame 33-19 today. ND fans argue that Purdue is a bad team, a nobody team, just like the other teams ND has lost to. I know this is an attempt to justify their “tough schedule” and their 0-5 start for the first time in school history. They [...]

Hello 0-3

And ND falls to Michigan, 38-0. Nothing could make me happier (unless, fo course, Purdue beats them in 2 weeks).

The BCS is broken

Posted by Trisha on September 4, 2007 in NCAA, Sports

I’m sitting here with T minus 1 hour until my fisrt Fantasy Football draft begins and I’m bored. So, rather than surf the net, I thought I’d get a little dialogue going here on my blog. And it’s about football, if you hadn’t guessed that from my title. Since it’s college football time, and Michigan [...]

Not a bad day for the Big Ten

Posted by Trisha on September 1, 2007 in NCAA, Purdue

The fact that 7 of our 11 teams won today (IU is currently winning in the 3rd quarter, and it’s unllikely ISU will be able to score 38 points in one quarter. Minnesota is tied with Bowling Green in the 4th) will certainly be overshadowed by the fact that UM CHOKED today. I’ve already posted [...]

DOH!

Posted by Trisha on September 1, 2007 in NCAA, Sports

Just this morning on ESPN College Gameday, Lee and Kirk were lamenting the Big Ten’s decision to play 1-AA teams. They were talking about anyone playing 1-AA teams, but they specifically talked about the Big Ten, since so many of our conferences games in the first couple of weeks are against 1-AA teams. I wonder [...]

It’s that time of year again!

Posted by Trisha on August 28, 2007 in NCAA, Purdue, Sports

As evidenced by my new blog theme, it’s football season! I am so excited! Unfortunately, as Bobbo pointed out, we won’t be getting the new Big Ten Network here. He’s got Comcast, but Time Warner isn’t carrying it, either. That is a bit of a bummer. I suppose the only way I’ll get to see [...]

College degree vs NBA/NFL

Posted by Trisha on March 24, 2007 in NCAA, NFL, Sports

As I’m sitting here watching the OSU/Memphis game, I am once again hearing talk about Greg Oden. A phenomenal basketball player, to be sure. The talk is whether he will stay at OSU, or turn pro, now that he’s one year removed from high school. SO I sit here wondering if he should go pro. [...]
