GO BOILERS! BEAT THE IRISH!

Posted by Trisha on September 27th, 2008

I haven’t done much on my blog in awhile. Part of it is that I’m just so busy with school and work and home that I don’t have time. Part of it is that I have to keep a blog for one of my classes, so the time I would normally have to blog here [...]

I have the best husband in the world :)

Posted by Trisha on July 6th, 2008

DH is at the Indy Car race at Watkins Glenn with a friend today. He was thinking about me enough to get me an autograph and a picture of one of my favorite Indy Drivers (or, past drivers), Arie Luyendyk. Isn’t he sweet? Here’s a picture of Arie giving an autograph.

Martin to return full time in ‘09

Posted by Trisha on July 4th, 2008

Today, amidst barbecues and fireworks, my favorite Nascar driver announced that he’ll be returning to a full cup schedule next year. From Mark Martin’s website:
Mark Martin, a 35-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race winner and the all-time leader in NASCAR Nationwide Series victories, has signed a two-year agreement to drive for Hendrick Motorsports beginning in [...]

March Madness

Posted by Trisha on March 20th, 2008

Ah, the madness of March. The NCAA basketball tourney starts today, in just a few minutes. I’m not a huge basketball fan. I do NOT like NBA basketball, but I can tollerate college. However, I LOVE the tourney. Even before I was filling out brackets I loved the tourney. Last year, i didn’t fare so [...]

I try very hard not to be envious of people, but I just can’t help myself tonight. I am envious of my mother-in-law. Why? Well, let me show you:

Yep, that’s my mil with Peyton Manning. They dined in the same restaurant in Indy last night. I want my picture with Peyton!! And yes, that’s as [...]

Family Fantasy Football Fun

Posted by Trisha on October 6th, 2007

How’s that for alliteration?
This weekend in fantasy football is going to be interesting. In one league, Brian and I each play our sisters. We are both projected to beat them, though I think my sister-in-law has a chance to beat Brian, since their game is only projected to be separated by 2 points. It could [...]

The best baseball story. Ever.

Posted by Trisha on October 5th, 2007

I talk a lot about football and NASCAR on this blog because those are the two sports I really love. I am not a huge baseball fan, but I know that many of you who read here are. I am, however, a sucker for the really touching, sappy stuff, and this falls into that category, [...]

And Purdue wins again

Posted by Trisha on September 29th, 2007

We start the season 5-0 after beating Notre Dame 33-19 today. ND fans argue that Purdue is a bad team, a nobody team, just like the other teams ND has lost to. I know this is an attempt to justify their “tough schedule” and their 0-5 start for the first time in school history. They [...]

I am going to give you a scenario. Tell me what you would do.
You are struggling at the WR/RB position. Another member of your league is really struggling at the QB position. You have Tony Romo, who has been putting up phenomenal fantasy numbers, on your bench with Peyton Manning as your starter. The [...]
